Countdown to Christmas. Day 10.

Lord Most Holy,

 We consider tonight the many ways your majesty is evidenced, but none is more remarkable than the advent of your only son's obedient life, death and resurrection.

The privilege of knowing you through Jesus overwhelms us with gratitude, and yet we often fail to consider the magnitude of it all because we are distracted by the temporal.

 Sharpen our focus so that we better appreciate the scope of Christ's finished work and the lavishness of your love, resulting in our surrender to your call to "come and follow." Thank you for this matchless invitation and for forgiveness of our sins-- we praise you and pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
