Countdown to Christmas. Day 5

Oh Great God, 

For giving us another day, we thank You. 

Every blessing comes from Your gracious hand, yet far too often these precious gifts are taken for granted. Forgive us.

Tonight, as we consider those who have yet to understand that Your Son brings life, and along with life, peace, may we become peacemakers and life-givers in humble gratitude for Your immeasurable generosity.

We join our hearts in prayer for peace-- acknowledging that Jesus is the Prince of Peace, apart from Whom no one can know You. 

May our lives and lips so clearly reflect Your love and peace that all who are in our spheres of influence glimpse Your glory when they observe the way we live and love, serve and give-- and we ask this in Jesus' Name, amen.
